Chris was born in Singapore whilst his father was in the RAF, and has travelled extensively all over the world and within the UK. This has given him the natural ability to relate to all people, regardless of background, heritage or culture. Chris loves all sports, in particular cricket (where he is a qualified coach & umpire) and rugby. Chris has only just come to terms with the devastating fact that despite being able to talk a good game, he was never good enough to play either sport for England! He is however blessed with children... (no pressure!) Chris is married to fiction author Celina Grace.
As someone who is passionate about civil liberties, Chris has been a member of Liberty for many years. Chris is also a supporter of Anti-Slavery International and ECPAT (End Child Prostitution And Trafficking) UK. Chris also supports MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders), Shelter and the National Trust. Locally, Chris supports Bath based homeless/rough sleeping charity Julian House and raises money on their behalf through many fundraising activities, including running the Bath Half Marathon in aid of the charity. A regular runner, Chris can often be seen pounding the streets of Bath in order to keep fit and hopefully fulfill his lifelong ambition of one day running a non-stop marathon.
Chris's other interests include cycling, technology and tinkering with his 1970 VW Campervan. Chris is also an massive music fan and whilst over the years he has gradually culled his vast vinyl collection, he still likes to listen to soul, latin and dance music (and embarrass his children with his "Dad dancing"!)
